Course description

The Russian alphabet. Elements of Russian phonetics.

The structure of Russian Language.

The noun. Personal and common nouns. The gender of the noun: masculine, feminine and neuter. The plural. The formation of Russian words. The declension of the substantive.

The pronoun: personal and possessive.

The Russian adjective. The comparative degree of adjectives and adverbs. The superlative deegre. The numerals.

The Russian verb.

How to express the verbs to be and to have in Russian

I and II conjugations. Irregular verbs. Verbs with the particle – ся

The imperative form.

Verbal aspect.

Verbs of motion.

Present, past and future of the verb

The past participle.

The use of the Russian cases. Russian prepositions and their use.

The structure of the Russian sentence.

Indirect speech.

Development of speaking and listening skills

Communication skills:

At the end of the course the student will be able to present himself, sustain a conversation about his life, his family, his interests, the country where he is from. He will be able to buy in shops and ask for directions in the street and in the subway.
