International dimension

The MIREES international dimension is an added value of the program because it offers:

• A broad international student environment : students enrolled in the MIREES program come from a vast number of countries, from Eastern and Western Europe, from the US and the Balkans. Therefore, since your arrival, your interaction with the other students will be intensive and stimulating, meeting with a variety of experiences, views, and approaches. In the Forlì Campus of the University of Bologna, the internationalisation of the Programs is well advanced and the town, located between Bologna and the Adriatic sea, offers excellent opportunities for studying at the crossroads of the Latin, Byzantine and Middle Ages cultures.
• A leading International Faculty : MIREES is a program taught in English that relies on a large faculty of worldwide prominent scholars. Therefore, the students will be encouraged to adapt to different teaching systems, absorb differentiated perspectives, in a plurality of angles, as a powerful motivation for acknowledging differences, understanding otherness, making insight comparisons, being educated to deal substantially with their own future area of expertise.
• A unique International experience : MIREES offers a two-year language skills program to be developed partially in Italy and partially in the partner Universities of East, Central and Balkan Europe, during their 5-month internship/period of study abroad, in the second year of the Program.
• An international Diploma : Eventually, MIREES awards an international joint diploma of the Universities of Bologna, Kaunas, Ljubljana, and Szombathely, as a result of its intensive international program. While forging insightful area experts for international agencies, companies and NGOs, MIREES offers at the same time a solid basis for further academic studies at the PhD level.

As a result of all that:

MIREES has twice received an award by the Italian Ministry of Education, Research, and University for its contribution to the internationalisation of Italian Universities.

MIREES is supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

MIREES is a program included in the Central European Initiative Universities Network.

MIREES is a program based on networking: networking students, networking faculties, networking experiences, and diplomas.

MIREES is a program deeply embodied in the broad European strategy of integration, dialogue and cooperation.
